ACID GAS INJECTION UPGRADE
This capital project involved constructability design, fabrication and installation of a plant expansion comprising of an acid gas injection system. The scope encompassed structural, mechanical and civil activities for a ground up construction and brownfield tie in to an existing legacy sour gas facility. Challenges included a compressed
timeline, risk exposure to the live facility and condensed work areas.
Digital workflows and 3D site survey enabled 98% of the manufacturing to be performed off site with expedited delivery that would be not possible with conventional workflows. This proved to be a catalyst to identifying multiple RFI items in the constructability review of the EPC model that was provided and subsequently eliminated numerous potential costly project errors.
